Shin Tae-yong Reveals Challenges Faced by Indonesia U-23 National Team before Playoffs against Guinea U-23
The Indonesia U-23 national team has been in Paris, France, since Sunday (May 5). Following a series of matches in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup, now coach Shin Tae-yong and his friends are preparing to face Guinea, which will be the place to vie for Olympic tickets.
Various obstacles have been encountered in the preparations for hosting world sporting events in the country.
"Yes, it's true, the [La Lagrande Stadium] training ground is below standard. Yes. This means it's not like Doha, but they say the grass here is the best. So, whether you like it or not, we have to adapt to this situation, the conditions here," Shin said.
Most of the defending players of the Indonesia U-23 national team at the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup departed from Doha to Paris. Only Justin Hubner progressed from Japan.
Recently, the PSSI communicated with the Gamba Osaka team in an attempt to bring Hubner back to the Indonesia U-23 national team. The same goes for Elkan Baggott, who guards Ipswich Town.
Meanwhile, regarding Alfeandra Dewangga, Shin mentioned that PSIS Semarang players are waiting for visas before they can join other Garuda Muda players in Paris.
