World's richest player injured: The nearly 20 billion euro footballer
Faiq Bolkiah, the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei who tried his luck as a footballer in Portugal and England, was injured playing for Ratchaburi in the Thai Premier League.
The millionaire nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, who played in Europe for Maritimo (Portugal),Leicester City (England), Southampton (England) and Chelsea (England), is currently playing for Thai club Ratchaburi. Ratchaburi chairman Tanawat Nitikanchana said of Bolkiah's condition: "Today is the saddest day. My brother, Prince Faiq Jefri Bolkiah was injured while playing for us."
The Ratchaburi boss wanted to send a message of encouragement to Bolkiah: "I know you must be in shock and in great pain right now, but know that we will be with you every step of the way until you are back in the dragon shirt and scoring goals for us again. Although you have only been with us for eight months, I am sure that everyone at the club and the fans love you. We'll be waiting for the day when you come back stronger than ever, lad."
