Team Analysis
In the past five league matches, Newcastle has shown a remarkable performance with four victories. This weekend they're up against Brighton in Matchday No. 37 at St. James’ Park. Newcastle has an impressive track record, achieving four wins and one draw in their last five games on home turf. On the contrary, Brighton doesn't pose a strong threat with losses in seven of their previous ten away games across different tournaments. The highlight for Newcastle has been the player, Alexander Isak, who has scored eight goals in his past seven games.

Newcastle exhibited their vigor last weekend as they won against Burnley, a severe relegation-threatened team. As Eddie Howe's team stands only four points below the 5th positioned Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton has just managed to put an end to their six-game winless streak across competitions last weekend. The team subdued Aston Villa 1-0 at The Amex where Joao Pedro made the difference by scoring his own rebound after a missed penalty-kick.

Head-to-Head
In recent history, Brighton had an impressive 3-1 victory over Newcastle in the return game in September last year at The Amex. Newcastle previously enjoyed a positive run of three wins and two draws in the five matches against the Seagulls. Interestingly, in all but one of the last six meetings, both teams were able to score.

Odds Analysis
Newcastle's scoring spree has been grabbing headlines in recent matches. They have maintained a run of four wins and a draw in the last five home games in the league. The Magpies have proved their skill by scoring nine goals in their last two league victories against Sheffield United and Burnley. Despite Brighton demonstrating their abilities by winning against Villa last weekend, their away performance has been consistently weak.

Roberto De Zerbi’s men showcased a discouraging form by losing seven, drawing two, and winning only one (against rock-bottomed Sheffield United) of the last ten away games in all competitions. This form can be problematic while facing the high-scoring Magpies. The current odds are favoring Newcastle to win by a margin of two or more goals at the odds of 2.30.

Another promising prospect is Alexander Isak scoring anytime at St. James' Park. Isak has proven his reliability by taking his league tally to 20 goals by scoring one of his team’s four seven days ago at Turf Moor. The Swedish forward has been in excellent form, scoring eight goals in his last seven appearances for the Magpies. The odds stand at 1.83 for him to score anytime during the match.

Pick: Newcastle -1.5
