Oaktree Capital has effectively taken over Inter Milan

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Suning era at Inter Milan has come to an end, and an official statement announcing Oaktree Capital's takeover of the club is expected to be released on Wednesday local time.

The report states that after winning seven championship trophies in nearly eight years, the Suning era at Inter Milan is about to conclude. Due to Steven Zhang's inability to find a way to repay the loan, and with time running out, Suning, which borrowed €275 million from Oaktree Capital in 2021, will be forced to relinquish ownership of Inter Milan. The official announcement is expected on Wednesday.

Previously, Inter President Steven Zhang issued a statement accusing Oaktree Capital of obstructing their refinancing negotiations with PIMCO. Currently, there are also reports that Steven Zhang and Suning may take legal action in an attempt to retain control of Inter Milan.
