Zaniolo Undergoes Metatarsal Surgery Today

According to Italian journalist Di Marzio, Fiorentina and several other Serie A teams are interested in signing Zaniolo, who will miss this summer's European Championship due to injury.

The 24-year-old Zaniolo is currently on loan at Aston Villa, where he has made 39 appearances, including 13 starts, and scored 3 goals. His ownership still belongs to Galatasaray. Di Marzio's report indicates that Zaniolo will undergo metatarsal surgery today at the Humanitas hospital in Rome. This is a routine orthopedic procedure, and after an overnight stay, the Italian star can go home to begin his recovery the following day.

The report further states that although Zaniolo will miss the European Championship, his injury is not serious, meaning he will still attract suitors in the transfer market. Several Serie A clubs are interested in bringing him back to the Apennine Peninsula, with Fiorentina particularly keen on him.
