Certain areas in Paris will implement traffic control measures ahead of the Olympics

Recently, the official news from the French Tourism Development Agency announced that a week before the opening of the Olympics, Paris will implement traffic control measures, prohibiting vehicles from entering certain areas and requiring pedestrians to apply for and carry an Olympic pass.

Reportedly, the first phase of traffic control will take place from July 18 to 1 PM on the day of the Olympic opening ceremony, July 26. The control areas will mainly be around the Seine River and the relevant venues. The second phase of traffic control will last from the end of the opening ceremony on July 26 until the end of the Paralympic Games on September 8.

The first phase of traffic control will be divided into two zones: gray and red. In the gray zone, which is closer to the opening ceremony, vehicles will be prohibited, and walking or cycling will require a pass. However, children under 13, spectators with Olympic tickets, athletes participating in the opening ceremony, and organizing committee staff will not be subject to the pass requirement.

The second phase of traffic control will mainly establish red, blue, gray, and black zones around the competition venues, from two and a half hours
