Luis Díaz declares: I hope the National Liberation Army will release my father as soon as possible

This statement is not being made by the football player Lucho Díaz, but by Luis Manuel Díaz's son.

My father is an indefatigable worker and the pillar of our family, and he has been kidnapped. I implore the National Liberation Army to release my father as soon as possible, and I hope that international organizations will work for his freedom.

With each passing second and minute, our suffering continues to grow. My father, my brother, and I are all overwhelmed by despair and pain, which words cannot express. Only when he returns home can our suffering come to an end.

I beseech you to release him immediately, to respect his dignity, and to put an end to this agonizing wait.

In the name of love and compassion, we request that you reconsider your actions, so that we can bring him back home.

I also want to express my gratitude to the Colombian people and the international community for the support and care shown during this difficult time that many families in my country are going through.
