Manchester United Official: Luke Shaw Suffers Muscle Injury, Expected to Miss Several Months

Manchester United have confirmed that defender Luke Shaw has suffered a muscle injury and is expected to be sidelined for several months.



Shaw, who started in United's recent 2-1 away victory over Luton in the Premier League, was substituted off just before halftime due to injury. Earlier reports suggested Shaw had sustained a leg muscle injury and could be out for 12 weeks. However, according to Manchester United's official statement, Shaw has suffered a muscle injury and will face an extended period on the sidelines. The club still needs to conduct further assessments to determine the severity, but it is anticipated that he will be out for several months.

So far this season, Shaw, who has been plagued by muscle injuries, has made 15 appearances for Manchester United across all competitions.
