In a disappointing match that was expected to be a classic, goalless draw was the order of the day when Manchester City faced off against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium. They have a chance to rectify their situation in the upcoming game against in-form Aston Villa next week.

Arsenal's resilience and character were evident in their disciplined defensive play that frustrated City, a marked improvement compared to previous appearances at the same venue. Arsenal has kept clean sheets in both encounters with Guardiola's side this season, a remarkable feat only achieved by four other teams. Despite it being unclear whether this result is a point gained or two lost, Arteta appeared satisfied at the end of the match.
