AC Milan Introduces NBA-Inspired Pitchside Seats at San Siro
AC Milan is adding an NBA touch to the San Siro stadium by introducing pitchside seats nestled between the dugouts. The seats are a part of the club's initiative to emulate the "NBA experience," drawing on inspiration from basketball's courtside seating.
By being the "closest ever," these new seats grant fans a unique opportunity to observe the game up close, mirroring the thrill and intimacy of courtside seats at basketball matches. Extra perks include cushy seats and private concierge services.
The inaugural taste of this distinguished seating was experienced during AC Milan's 1-0 Europa League victory over Roma. The opening guests were Italian rappers Ghali and Blanco, reflecting a trend seen in NBA games where big names such as pop stars and famous personalities occupy the prime seats.
The Club isn't the first to offer such a unique experience. The Etihad Stadium, home to Manchester City, offers the 'Tunnel Club,' providing fans with a unique view of the players maneuvering through a glass 'tunnel' onto the pitch.
However, the opportunity to experience this unique seating may be fleeting, as AC Milan is considering exiting the San Siro - the club's home ground since 1926 - to construct a new 70,000-seat stadium in southern Milan. Inter Milan, a co-tenant and city rival, is also entertaining the idea of making its individual ground.
