Kylian Mbappe Confirms His Departure from Paris St-Germain

Kylian Mbappe, the stellar striker from Paris St-Germain (PSG), has declared he will conclude his time with the French club at the end of this season when his contract expires. During his stint at PSG, Mbappe has secured six Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, and two League Cups. The ultimate Parisian will play his final home game against Toulouse before fixtures with Nice, Metz and the French Cup final against Lyon.

Mbappe has expressed his gratitude towards PSG, for aiding his growth both as a player and a person. He reveals that after seven long years with the club, it's time for a new challenge. His tenure at PSG was marked by scoring 255 goals, making him the record goalscorer for the club.

Mbappe was set to walk away from PSG on a free transfer at the termination of the 2021-22 season but inked a two-year contract extension, with an option for an additional year. However, after refusing the 12 months extension, and turning down a world record £259m offer from Al-Hilal, circumstances took a sudden turn.

Reports from February, substantiated by a confession to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, suggest Mbappe has cleared the decks to join Real Madrid after his journey at PSG. He will be signing a five-year contract with Real Madrid, yielding £12.8m a season, plus a £128m signing-on bonus over five years.

In preparation for his arrival, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has envisioned roles for Jude Bellingham, Brazilian Vinicius Jr, and Mbappe within his squad. Moreover, if Luka Modric departs this summer, Mbappe stands to inherit his number 10 shirt.
