Solskjaer's Managerial Comeback Thwarted as Canada Opt for Jesse Marsch
Former Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, continues to remain unemployed in football management after Canada appointed ex-Leeds United boss, Jesse Marsch, as their new national team head coach. It was previously reported that Solskjaer was approached by Canada about the role.

Solskjaer has been distancing himself from managerial duties since his dismissal as the Red Devils' boss in November 2021, following a 4-1 defeat to Watford. Since then, he has been contributing to youth football in Norway and taking up match analysis responsibilities for UEFA.

In February, the six-time Premier League winner expressed a keen interest in returning to club management, stating that he still had one club job in him. However, he emphasized his desire for an interesting adventure, a place where he could be himself.

Solskjaer also reflected on the intense pressure that he endured being at the helm of Manchester United. He shared, "After you’ve managed Manchester United for three years it’s like where do you go? I want to feel that pressure again." Despite needing a break post his tenure with United, Solskjaer seems to miss the challenges of managing in the Premier League and is eagerly awaiting his return once he finds the right opportunity.
