Manchester United Engages with Ipswich's Kieran McKenna as Chelsea Shows Interest
In the wake of Mauricio Pochettino's departure from Chelsea, Manchester United and Chelsea are concurrently showing interest in Ipswich Town's manager, Kieran McKenna. McKenna has recently met with Manchester United’s officials, intensifying the clubs' rivalry for his services.

According to Sky Sports News, Manchester United's Chief Executive Omar Berrada and Technical Director Jason Wilcox had a discussion with McKenna's representatives last week. However, United has yet to finalize if they will stick with existing coach Erik ten Hag for the next season or look for someone new.

The weekend’s FA Cup Final could be a deciding factor, as United, finishing eighth in the Premier League this season, could miss out on European games next season if they lose against Manchester City. Meanwhile, Ten Hag expresses confidence in his future at the club and focuses on winning the FA Cup instead of engaging with speculations about his position.

Notably, it's not only Chelsea that Manchester United could face competition from - Brighton is also reportedly interested in McKenna. Amid this, Ipswich Town still hopes that McKenna will choose to stay with them and lead the club in their return to the Premier League.

Chelsea, on the other hand, is considering three potential replacements for their former manager Pochettino - Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Leicester City's Enzo Maresca, and McKenna. The Blues are expected to announce their decision on the new appointment next week.
