Rojo: Messi Invited Me to Join Inter Miami
Former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo recently gave an interview to Radio La Red, in which he discussed Messi's invitation to join Inter Miami.
Rojo said, "Messi invited me to join Inter Miami, but honestly, I'm not interested in leaving Boca because I just renewed my contract. I contacted Boca president Riquelme and told him that as long as he needs me, I will stay."
"I am very happy with my life at Boca. I have a great relationship with Riquelme, and we often talk."
Additionally, Rojo commented on his playing style: "I would never intentionally foul to get sent off. I know I am very intense on the field, but that's just how I play. I accept criticism and understand where it's coming from. But if I weren't professional, I wouldn't have the career I have today, wouldn't have played for big clubs, and wouldn't have reached this level."
Rojo joined Boca Juniors in February 2021 after leaving Manchester United and has previously played alongside Messi in the Argentina national team.
