Bologna is planning to sign a new striker this summer
According to Milan Sports Newspaper, Bologna is planning to sign a new striker this summer, and they have their eyes on Alkmaar's forward Pavlidis.
Due to the potential departure of Zirkzee this summer, coupled with the arrival of Nicolò from Italy, Bologna is planning to sign a new forward to maintain competitiveness and adapt to the new coach's tactical philosophy. Currently, the team is evaluating several targets, including 25-year-old Greek striker Pavlidis from Alkmaar. Pavlidis had his peak season at Alkmaar, scoring 33 goals and providing 5 assists in 46 matches across various competitions. Although he has only one year left on his contract, it is expected that Alkmaar will demand no less than €20 million for him.
Considering that contract renewal negotiations with Pavlidis have reached a deadlock, Alkmaar is not averse to selling this strong striker this summer, and the player himself is also interested in continuing his career at a larger club. However, completing this deal for Bologna won't be easy. Despite the transfer fee being within an acceptable range, they face stiff competition. Benfica, Rennes, Roma, and even AC Milan are all keeping an eye on the future of this Greek international. Therefore, besides Pavlidis, Bologna's technical director Sartori is also evaluating Aston Villa's forward Dural, Celta's striker Jürgen Larsen, and the young talent Orban playing for Lyon.
